Christmas Rush

Thank you to all those who visited me at the Christmas Market this weekend! It was a good day. My shipping deadlines have now passed for both U.S. and Canadian orders. However, local orders are still welcome until my Jellies have found enough Christmas trees to hide under. Merry Christmas!!!

Going Going Gone!

I keep mentioning this Christmas Market on Friday because its on my mind. I am having a hard time keeping stocked up for it because I keep getting orders, which is great of course, but what am I going to sell at the market now? Maybe homemade pizzas... thats totally random but I wish so much that I knew someone that would make me homemade pizza b/c I am having some serious pregnant girl cravings. Why isn't that on Etsy.

Glitter Gel For Men...

I am once again impressed with the creativity of my customers. It isn't the first time that I have had a custom request for a target audience that had never crossed my mind. This time someone wanted a yummy jar but without the glitter for a gift to give their dad. Fresh aloe vera for men- why not! Its good for you, its soothing, it smells good and men need some bath and beauty products to fill up their side of the medicine cabinet.

Hearts of Love

Wow! My Etsy shop is now at 81 hearts. My heart is singing. I am planning my 100 hearts party already.

Home For The Holidays Treasury

My Christmas Special was included in this Treasury West on Etsy this morning. A Treasury is tricky to get a hold of so this is exciting.

So Good That It Has To Be Posted!

Every etsy purchase is satisfying, not once have I been disappointed with an order but my experience with this shop, SewMuchDetail was extra special. I bought some Christmas gifts and I wish I would have bought more. My package arrived in my little town in Canada from South Carolina, impossibly fast. Then it was packaged so nicely with and extra treat inside. The things I ordered were fabulous. Very good quality and so so so cute! This shop has lots to choose from and great prices.  No wonder she has had 746 sales. I recommend this shop to everyone! Here is the link for the last picture.

Early Birds Get Prizes

I REALLY appreciate all you early orderers. Its helped me to know how many jars to plan for this Christmas season. Its also been nice to know what flavors and colors to make extra etc. I will be giving free daisy glitter pots to any others who order before December. Don't miss out!

New Look

I have some pretty new labels coming! Don't worry, they only took about 8 million hours to create... They are round instead of rectangle. This way the label will go on the lid so you can see the glitter all the way around the jar.

Compare this ugly container of glitter gel from the store with Jelly Jane (the plastic container is turning yellow, which is a bad sign). Here are the ingredients listed on the back:

What is all this stuff!!!

The Wonder of Aloe Vera

I have listed the benefits of using Jelly Jane Glitter Gel because its made with 100% Aloe Vera.

1. Its natural and good for you (the store bought glitter gels have a long list of yucky chemicals and lots of those long words that are scary).
2. Its a moisturizer. Aloe Vera improves the skin's ability to hydrate itself.
3. You can use as much as you want.
4. It makes you stay young- no really it does...
"Aloe vera stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis"
5. Healing properties
6. Soothes pain and sunburns
7. Anti-inflammatory
8. Antioxidant
9. Its magical
10. It sparkles!

Deck the Halls with Jars of Jelly

What did you think about that title? I am now preparing for the Cardston Christmas Market which will be on December 12th. I have about a million jars to create. If you wish to pre-order that is welcomed.

Farmers Markets are Fun

My little Jane and I worked our first farmers market together in July. I wish I would have taken a picture because we had Jelly Jane-ish colored balloons and Jane looked so sweet in her darling handmade apron (a christmas present from Grammy). She was of course covered in glitter gel and quite the salesperson. Someone would choose the jar they wanted and Janey would say, "Now you have to give us your money." It was not very subtle... It was entertainment for those with tables around us. We had fun helping people choose a flavor, only after they had smelled each one at least twice. Thats another thing Jane has to work on, b/c she would want a sniff too and one time ( I think it was about a cucumber melon jar) she said, "Ewwww, that reeks!" Not exactly the best sales technique but very amusing and a good conversation piece. In the end it was a great learning experience for both of us and we completely sold out of jars!

Thank You!!

I can't explain the joy as I find another person hearts (for those that aren't etsy lovers, this basically means you've bookmarked a shop to a favorite list) my shop. Its very inspiring and it gets me through the lulls. I want to sincerely thank all those that have hearted starstar.

A Heart For NieNie

A Peppermint flavored Jar of Jelly Jane in Fuschia was donated to the NieNie recovery fund this month. I don't know this family personally but their story is very moving.

Established July 2008

Jelly Jane Glitter Gel By Starstar was opened in July 2008. I want to thank all the sparkly people that have supported my shop while it gets started.
